5 chocolatey reasons to visit Prahran Market

When too much chocolate is never enough…

Prahran Market is gearing up for its annual Wicked Chocolate festival, celebrating all things chocolatey with tastings, demonstrations and seriously rich treats from 10am-4pm on May 7. Expect to see the Zumbo Pattiserie‘s dessert bar, along with Doughboys Doughnuts debuting their Lamington Doughnut and 400 Gradi‘s famous Nutella calzone (with a cheeky Margherita pizza for those in need of a savoury hit).

Market chocolatier and festival organiser Tad Lombardo will be at the centre of the action. These are the five reasons Tad can’t for the Wicked Chocolate Festival to start:Tad Lombardo

  1. Weiss Chocolate Eating Contest

    1. Like last year, participants will be able to battle it out in a chocolate eating competition to see who consumes the most Weiss chocolate in two minutes. Come on, who doesn’t wanna see that?
  2. Very Special Kids

    1. I’m loving that this year a lot of the activations are collecting money for charity. It is important to know that Wicked Chocolate is not a money-making event; it’s a free event organised by Prahran Market with proceeds from a few of the activations going to Very Special Kids. It really makes me even more proud to be part of the festival and the market.
  3. Chill out zones

    1. This year we’ll have two chill out zones that are going to be professionally styled for relaxation, so that people can take time out to enjoy their chocolate finds. I can’t wait to see what the designers do with these spaces.
  4. Amazing chocolate

    1. I am looking forward to working with my friends from Weiss Chocolate-France, Cacao Hunters and Daintree Chocolate, combining our love for this incredible product. When I asked all of these people to be a part of the festival, they did not think twice to come on board – I am forever grateful.
  5. Chocolate lovers

    1. Lastly and most importantly, I am looking forward to meeting a lot of chocolate-loving people. Without the many chocolate lovers who come to the event, we would not have a festival at all.
